Rebrand — Methodist Church

Client: Iglesia Metodista Rev. José Espada Marrero in San Juan Puerto Rico
Project type: Branding
Deliverables: Logo & brand guidelines

The Methodist Church is known for it's symbolic take on the flame and the cross. Both icons representing an array of ideas across the church. The most prominent one in Puerto Rico being how John Wesley (founder of Methodism) felt how his heart warmed at the presence of God.

The Methodist Church in Puerto Nuevo (located in San Juan, Puerto Rico) wanted to refresh this iconic symbol to represent how the church can transcend time and evolve.

When speaking with their pastor, Reverend Virna Solís, we discussed how she envisioned the church being a place for everyone. Diversity and inclusiveness where key attributes that needed to be present in the new identity.
