Get to know Val

Valeria Santiago is a designer based in Puerto Rico specializing in user experience design. She graduated in 2020 with a BFA in Graphic Design from the School of Fine Arts and Design in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and obtained her Master's of Professional Studies at Maryland Institute College of Art in late 2021.

In the past, she has worked in branding and marketing agencies, mastering her design craft. Working everything from branding & brand awareness campaigns, to creating digital experiences, helping draw traffic and online sales.

In her most recent role, Valeria is the Senior Product Designer that oversees the user experience of multiple merchant acquiring solutions in the fintech industry. Ranging from enterprise and small business dashboards to consumer applications that have more than 2 million monthly users. She is used to working with cross-functional teams helping deliver products in an agile environment.

Aside from her work, Valeria loves hosting, playing board games, listening to Taylor Swift, and cuddling with Sir Leo (in her completely un-biased opinion) the cutest dog in the world.
